I am an astrophysicist at the Kapteyn Astronomical Institute, University of Groningen. I study formation and evolution of low-surface-brightness and low-luminosity galaxies to understand the underlying dark matter in these systems, by means of ground-based/space-based observations. Furthermore, I am interested in data-driven astronomy and astronomical data science.

I have done my pre-doctoral studies in engineering and astronomy in Tehran, my hometown in Iran. I received my PhD at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands in 2022. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Kapteyn Institute.
